Favorite one

I am a big YouTube watcher, I get lots of
ideas and inspiration from others.

Some of my favorites to watch are,
Prairie Paper & Ink (Amy R)
Kristina Werner
Vicky Papioannou
and
 Jennifer McGuire

I got the inspiration for this card from
Jennifer.  She used the Altenew
Persian Montifs stamp set which
I just thought was beautiful so I ordered
it, and now going to order the die set to
go with it.

I sat down the next day after I received it
and couldn't wait to try.

I stamped it with my Misti and Versamark ink,
embossed with with white embossing power.

I pulled out my Zig Clean Color pens and
played around with the colors until I found
the combo I liked. I used water color paper
as well.

The sentiments are from the same
stamp set and I stamped those with
black ink. I think placed it on
some matching blue card stock.

I am in love with this card....ha, ha.
I have to say, I think it one of the prettiest that
I've ever made.

Quilted thoughts....

I have quilted for a few years, I have a few
under my belt.

I did everything by hand, meaning I sewed them together
by hand and quilted them by hand.  I was just something
I enjoyed doing.....I could do it while sitting in front
of the television at night after we came home from work.

This is the last one that I pieced by hand.  I have developed
a pinched nerve in my arm so I decided
to try doing everything by machine. This one ended up
being quilted by machine.

Here's one pieced and quilted by machine.

And this is a wall hanging that I did using a charm pack
and a couple of pieces from a jelly roll.

Here's the rest of the jelly roll used in a lap quilt.

At some point I want to 'free motion' quilt, but right now
I am having a bit of trouble with it.

Progress with my watercolor cards

I am not a master of card making by any means and I am NOT a master
of watercolor, not by a long shot.

Last year I decided to try my hand at watercoloring my cards.

I started off by using Tim Holtz's Distress Ink as my
'watercolor'.

And obviously, my favorite choice
is flowers.

It's hard to go wrong with flowers!

Ok, so we're starting to looking a little better now....

So I tried a little something different.

This is one of my favorites, the colors worked out so
well together.

I finally decided to upgrade my choice of media.

I purchased the Zig Clan Color Real Brush markers and
being a crafter, of course, I had to go for the '80' set.

Here's the same dies, on another card.

These two have a touch of 'Wink of Stella'
to give them a little sheen.

Then, of course, the next thing was to order the
Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors.

This last one is the latest that I've done and I used the Zigs on it.

I think the progress is coming along nicely, for a crafter......
