and wanted to give it a try.

Catching up....

Well, I have been busy, didn't realize that I had not posted any

of my cards lately, so here's a catch-up....

 

Back at it....

I have finally picked up the pens and stamps

and gotten back to watercolors.

First up, a recent birthday card for a friend.

Trying out a scene...

This one makes me think

of a shack on a beach somewhere.

Inspiration

I often find inspiration on

Pinterest.

This year I have gotten into

gnomes.  Come on, what

is not to love about them, right?

This is my version of

one that I found that was

all felt.

I felt that I could do

a little more than just felt.

So, here's the first new Christmas

tree ornament for the year! 

Rather disappointed

Rather disappointed on this one,

actually not in the work

itself, but rather in the

fact that the pencil

that I used for marking the

pattern did not wash out 

as it should have.

Had thought I would send it to a friend

that loves cardinals, but

not now, really, not now.!

French Rose

Tell me, what is not to love about

Trish Burr's French Rose.

It took my breathe away the

first time I saw it.

It is in her book Colour Confidence

in Embroidery.

Framing

So, I spotted a cute idea

over on Pinterest

that I wanted to give a 

shot for pumping up

the framing on

my projects.

Here's a closer up of the top

two.

And the larger one.

It is simply fabric wrapped

around the embroidery hoop.

Decorates it a bit and

adds a little color.

Something I did earlier

I did this maybe a month ago

and am just now getting around

to sharing it.

Just something a little different from what

I had previously done.

A Simple Card

I use to make our Christmas cards

for several years.

But the past few years, it seems like 

cards are not something that 

people do much of anymore.

So, I am selective about how many,

and who I send them to anymore.

Here's a simple one for a friend.

I hope she likes it.

Birds of a feather

 I just finished this cutie pie and have to 

say that I just love him!!

Then I had to pair him up this

little guy.

What could be better??

My official favorite

This one goes along with the last one,

so small, maybe 1 1/2 in by 1 1/2 inch.

But THIS ONE is officially my favorite!

How cute is that!

Finally finished off

I finally got around to finishing off

a couple of my projects.

Kept it real simple.

Think I'll give these to a couple

of friends.

Something sweet

Mini Antique Pansies 

pattern from Trish Burr.

It is 2 x 2 3/4 inches

and so sweet.

Something a little different

Isn't she cute? 

She's from a reproductions

from a vintage postcard.

The one I've been working toward.....

When I first bought

my first book 

by Trish Burr, this is 

the project I fell in love with.

What is not to love about it, right???
